About Winnie
Meet Winnie, a lively almost seven-year-old Bichon Frise and West Highland White Terrier mix currently in Amherst, MA. Heโs a small but spirited companion weighing in at 14 pounds and wrapped in a fluffy, mostly white coat. Winnie thrives on companionship and transforms ordinary days into adventures, whether that's a leisurely walk, a car ride, or cozying up at bedtime. Winnie's medium energy fits perfectly with an active family. He loves to explore during three to five walks a day or in a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs. His playful nature shines through when heโs fetching a ball or engaging in tug-of-war with stuffed toys. He's mastered commands like "quiet," "stay," and "sit," and enjoys learning through positive reinforcement. Winnie is friendly with strangers and gets along well with cats, although he's yet to directly meet a dog. While curious about other dogs during walks, his compatibility with them remains to be seen. He has not interacted with children, so heโd likely thrive best in a home with a younger couple or an active family. Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, Winnie is also house-trained and healthy. He does require some special attention during grooming, as he feels sensitive about facial treatments, but has never displayed aggression. An experienced groomer can help with this. Although he does fine being left alone for short periods, he enjoys being near his people. Winnie is always ready to join in on the action, making him an ideal partner for your next family adventure.
