Pretty Girl & Shiner
AvailablePretty Girl & Shiner are a bonded pair of spayed female pugs in their senior years, currently in Pelham, MA. Both girls are medium-sized and house trained, and they have special needs—Shiner requires assistance with mobility and bladder expression due to age and health issues, and Pretty Girl needs gentle support managing her weight and arthritis. They are up to date on their vaccinations and are looking for a calm, supportive household to enjoy their golden years together.
About Pretty Girl & Shiner
Pretty Girl and Shiner are a mother and daughter pug duo looking for a patient, gentle family in the New England area. Shiner, affectionately called Momma, is 14 and mostly deaf; Pretty Girl is 12, a bit overweight, and closely bonded to her mom. They depend on each other deeply and must be adopted as a pair. Both girls have arthritis and mobility challenges—neither can do stairs and a single-level home, or someone able to carry them, is required. Shiner needs help expressing her bladder and bowels several times a day, and her new family must be willing to learn and support her needs. Pretty Girl is healthy aside from her weight, and will thrive with encouragement for gentle exercise and portioned meals. Both are mellow, affectionate, and happiest snuggled on the couch beside you, or snoozing on a comfy pillow. These seniors do well with calm, older children (10+), and have adjusted to other pugs and birds in their foster home. They can be initially timid with new people and places, but settle in with patience and a soft hand. Neither needs a fenced yard—they prefer slow walks and napping in a stroller. The girls require daily care and will need ongoing vet visits and attention to their special needs. Their ideal family understands that adopting seniors means offering comfort, support, and plenty of quiet love. Both are house trained and spayed, and their vaccinations are up to date. If you’d like to give these devoted friends the soft landing they deserve, they’re ready to bring gentle joy to your home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
