About Baby
Meet Baby, a soulful seven-year-old brindle and white Pitbull Terrier/Boxer mix in Amherst, MA. Saved from euthanasia on New Year’s Eve 2024, she walked into the new year ready for a fresh start. Her calm, affectionate presence fills a home with warmth—she loves belly rubs, squeaky toys, and curling up for a nap just as much as a bit of playful chaos. Whether tossing her favorite tennis ball or laying quietly nearby while you work, Baby adapts smoothly to the energy around her. She does well with a consistent routine and can entertain herself with a puzzle toy or simply rest where you are. Baby knows all the basics—sit, down, wait—and is eager to please. She does deal with allergies, chronic ear infections, and is scheduled for a minor tumor removal soon, plus she has an old ACL injury that mostly just means she needs to take it easy sometimes after play. Her caregivers are supporting her continued medical care, and she handles it all with a steady spirit. Baby is dog-reactive and prefers to be the only animal in the home, unless adopted with her best friend Boogie. She isn’t a fit for cats or small children, but thrives in a calm, adult household with space for her gentle energy. Open to a long-distance adoption, Baby is simply looking for someone ready to be her next great love. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
