About Alfalfa
Meet Alfalfa, a shy yet sweet boy who's about 7 years old and weighs approximately 22 lbs. He found his way to Mostly Mutts when he needed a new home, and now he's ready to find a loving family. Alfalfa enjoys soaking up the affection from volunteers, but he needs a little time to warm up to new environments and people. He's a gentle soul who can be a bit timid initially, especially with new faces. If you have patience and a calm demeanor, you'll soon discover a loving companion who loves to give kisses. Alfalfa does well with other dogs but hasn't yet interacted with cats or children, so a home with older kids who respect his timid nature could be ideal. He can be a flight risk when scared, so secure areas are important for his safety. Alfalfa is currently in training, learning leash manners and potty training. He prefers a quiet environment where he can relax and build confidence. Alfalfa loves belly rubs, gentle scratches, and relaxing in laps. However, he's not keen on being rushed or overhead movements, so a patient approach is best. He's neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on a joint supplement suitable for older dogs. His adoption fee is waived, making it a perfect time to bring this sweet boy into your home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
