Meet Beau! Beau is a sweet and sensitive little guy looking for someone special to help him blossom. At around 4 years old, this Maltese and Poodle mix has the softest, silliest scruff you’ll ever see. He’s a gentle soul who needs time to feel confident in new environments, making a calm home with a predictable routine ideal for him. Though he currently finds being away from his humans a bit daunting, he’s making great strides with his crate training, learning that it can be a cozy and secure space to relax. Beau loves other dogs and is very social, though his enthusiasm can sometimes make it difficult for him to settle. He’d thrive as the only pet in the home to soak up all the love and attention, but with the right adopter committed to providing structure, he could potentially share his space with another dog. A calm household with adults or older, dog-savvy teens is best for him, as he needs time to build trust. Beau is still a work in progress with potty training and anxiety, so his perfect adopter will be someone patient who believes in using positive reinforcement to help him gain independence. While he may take some extra time to adjust, the result will be a loving, loyal companion ready to be showered with affection.
