About Lil Man
Absolutely adorable tripod alert! Lil Man is a small chihuahua mix weighing about 8 lbs and roughly 7 years old. He came from an abusive past where his crushed right hind leg had to be amputated. Now a tripod, he’s gaining strength and can manage short bursts of running on his remaining back leg. Lil Man’s trust is still a work in progress—he’s wary of people but will approach and snuggle when he feels safe and comfortable. Patience is key; he’s physically healed but needs time and gentle care for his emotional recovery. He gets along well with other dogs and even a cat, making him a good candidate for a multi-pet household. Due to his anxiety around halters and leashes, Lil Man needs a small, securely fenced yard instead of leash walks for now. He is housetrained. He has been fully vetted, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on heartworm preventative. If you’re ready to give a little extra patience and provide a calm, safe space, Lil Man could truly blossom. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Lil Man
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Lil Man, being a chihuahua, generally does well in smaller homes or apartments, as long as he has a safe and cozy space to retreat to. His tripod status makes a calm, stable environment especially important.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas like Lil Man don't require large yards, but he will need a small, securely fenced area since he finds leashes frightening. Short supervised outdoor time is ideal for him.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can live with older, gentle children who understand their small size and sensitivity. Lil Man, because of his past and special needs, would do best in a calm home without small kids.
