Mr. Peabody may not take up much space in your lap, but he’ll definitely fill your heart to the max. As one of the 80+ dogs rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, Peabody may have never known what it felt like to be truly loved by a human. Now that he’s figured out how good cuddles are, he’s making up for lost time! He absolutely loves his people and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. Peabody tries to play with the bigger dogs in his foster home, but he’s still figuring out how this whole “being a dog” thing works—and honestly, he’d usually rather be cuddled up with his humans anyway. He’s doing great keeping his crate clean, aside from the occasional puppy piddle, and even sleeps through the night! The outside world is still very new to him, but he’s getting a little braver every day. Like any young pup, Peabody will need some patience and guidance as he continues to learn. What he wants most is pretty simple: a human who will love him endlessly and unconditionally. Male• 2 months old• Terrier Mix• 8.2 lbs ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
