After everything Cowboy has been through, you’d never know it by the amount of love this sweet boy has to give. Cowboy came to us as one of the 80+ dogs rescued from horrific living conditions. He had never known what it was like to go outside, live in a real home, or simply be someone’s beloved dog. Now he’s in a foster home and absolutely loving this new life. Cowboy is incredibly gentle, sweet, cuddly, and loving. His favorite place to be is wherever his humans are—he’ll happily follow you around just so he can stay close. He doesn’t know a stranger and seems to believe everyone he meets could potentially be his new best friend. He’s very food motivated, although he’s adorably shy about taking treats. He’s also good with other dogs and doing great with the cat in his foster home—we even have the pictures to prove it! For a dog who went so long without knowing the comforts of a home, Cowboy sure seems to have figured out quickly that this is exactly where he belongs. His foster family can’t say enough wonderful things about him. Cowboy is going to make one very, very lucky family incredibly happy. He’s ready for the part of his story where he gets to be loved like this forever. Male• 1 year old• Terrier Mix• 24lbs ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
