About Leo

Meet Leo, a 10-year-old male yellow Lab who weighs 75 lbs. He was found as a stray in Sacramento County, and despite efforts to locate his owner, no one came for him. Now in the care of Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue, Leo is ready for a new chapter. This friendly gentleman is full of warmth and affection. Leo enjoys being around people and other dogs, and he truly shines when he’s by your side. Although his sight is somewhat compromised due to progressive retinal atrophy, he navigates spaces with surprising ease once he understands his surroundings. Leo loves playing with toys, exploring his foster home, and soaking up the sun in the backyard. He’s mastered commands like sit, shake, and lie down, and he's working on his stay. Leo is potty and crate trained, and he’s learning to use the doggie door like a pro. He thrives on daily walks and would do best in a home where someone is around to keep him company. Leo is a low-maintenance, affectionate companion looking for a loving home. Don't miss the chance to adopt this gentle soul! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
