Meet Miley! This 4-year-old Beagle, weighing around 27.6 lbs, is searching for a forever home alongside her best friend, Sage. These two share a close bond and need to be adopted together to continue their journey side by side. Miley and Sage were surrendered by their owner after they found themselves escaping the yard frequently, even helping themselves to the neighbors' chickens. This lively spirit means that their future home will need a securely fenced yard. They're currently heading to an experienced foster home to help further understand their motivations and explore possible management strategies. Miley and Sage have lived well with both cats and children, showing they are friendly and adaptable. They’ve also gotten along with larger dogs. While introductions to new pets should always be handled cautiously, their prior experiences suggest they could thrive in an active family setting. While they may have a taste for poultry, these girls have been known to coexist peacefully with cats, though they should not be in homes with chickens or small critters due to their past. Both girls are heartworm negative. Miley will be spayed soon, and prior to their journey to a new home, they will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and started on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
