About Buddy
Buddy is waiting for his second chance at forever. After a sudden family change, this sweet 5-year-old beagle is in search of a new loving home. He has spent most of his life with one family and seeks a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and work through his separation anxiety. Buddy is energetic, playful, and thrives on being part of family activities. While he has a big personality, he can be anxious when left alone and might chew on things out of concern. He loves to voice his opinions, using his enthusiastic beagle bark to be heard! This charming boy is looking for a home where someone is around most of the time. Older children are preferred since his happy zoomies could be a bit much for little ones. Buddy is not good with cats and prefers calm introductions with other dogs, as he’s had a difficult experience in the past that requires some extra care. He does have a manageable medical condition known as beagle pain syndrome, which causes very occasional joint pain, easily managed with medication. Right now, Buddy is in boarding, waiting for a caring family that will see what a wonderful companion he can be. He doesn’t need a perfect home; he just needs one that offers love, structure, and understanding. Could Buddy be the missing piece in your family?
