About Drake

Drake is a delightful 9-year-old male Black Labrador Retriever. Having been adopted from the Stray Animal Adoption Program when he was about a year old, he recently returned due to his owner going into a nursing home. Now, he’s ready to find a loving home where he can share his affection for the rest of his life. This gentle soul weighs approximately 100 pounds and is a quick learner who easily adapts to routines. He adores men, gets along well with women and kids, and would thrive in a household with older children who can withstand his enthusiastic greetings. While he's not a fan of climbing onto the sofa, he prefers to stay nearby while sleeping. Drake enjoys his time outdoors, delighting in romps in a fenced yard, although he likes to watch the world through the front door too. Drake is house trained, crate trained, and fully vaccinated. Although he's had some health concerns in the past, he’s currently doing well and is on no long-term medications. Just a bit of monitoring for any recurrence of his previous condition will be needed in the future. He’s ready to be loved and give love in return. This loving senior will make a wonderful companion for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
