Meet Tawny! This sweetheart was found as a stray and ended up in a county shelter on the euthanasia list. She was thankfully rescued just in time — and now she’s finally getting the chance she deserves. Despite everything she’s been through, Tawny is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. Her favorite thing in the world is being loved on. She absolutely melts for pets and attention, and once she trusts you, she’ll happily shower you with hugs and kisses. Tawny can be a little nervous around men at first and is still learning that people can be kind and safe, but she warms up quickly with patience and gentleness. Underneath her timid moments is an incredibly loving girl who just wants to feel secure and adored. She would likely do wonderfully in a home with another friendly dog to help build her confidence and show her the ropes. More than anything, Tawny deserves a family that will be patient with her heart and give her the love she’s always deserved. After all she’s survived, it’s finally Tawny’s turn to be someone’s best friend.
