Meet Cupcake- a girl as sweet as her name! Cupcake is a 4-year-old Lab/Pit Bull mix with a gentle heart and a story of resilience. Sadly, Cupcake was found tied up outside her owners home and was hit by a car. After several days, she was finally taken to a local vet for care before coming to us through a rescue group in Kentucky. Despite everything she has been through, Cupcakes sweet and loving personality shines through. Volunteers describe her as very sweet-natured and say that she loves her humans. More than anything, Cupcake just wants to be close to her people, soaking up scratches, pets, and affection. Shes a little overwhelmed right now as she adjusts to all the changes, but her loving spirit is clear. Spend a few minutes with Cupcake, and you will see just why we have fallen in love with her! Cupcake is looking for a patient and loving family who will give her the comfort, care, and security she deserves. We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
