About Sunny
Meet Sunny- as bright and happy as her name! Sunny is a joyful, affectionate 2-year-old yellow/red Dudley Labrador Retriever weighing approximately 65–70 pounds. Her happy personality and youthful energy are unmistakable. Sunny is a people-loving girl who truly enjoys meeting new friends. She is great with children and has spent time with kids ranging from toddlers to elementary age. Sunny adores squeaky toys, stuffed animals, cozy couch cuddles, and will happily settle in for a nap! She is fully house-trained. Sunny is a high-energy dog who loves the outdoors and will need a securely fenced yard—she is clever and determined and will find a way out if given the opportunity. She can be vocal when she sees squirrels or activity around her yard and may bark when something approaches her space, but she does settle down. Sunny walks on leash but still pulls and becomes easily distracted by movement. She already knows “sit”! She is eager to please, though her attention span is short. Continued training and structure will help her thrive. Sunny loves attention and affection, and will happily give some to her people! She would do best in an active home committed to providing ongoing training, exercise, and consistency. With guidance and love, she will make a loyal, fun-loving companion. If you’re looking for a happy, social Lab with a big heart and lots of enthusiasm for life, Sunny is ready to brighten your days. Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
