About Sharon

Sharon, affectionately known as Abby, is ready for adoption and brings a unique spirit to her foster home. This playful Basset Hound puppy was thought to have swimmer syndrome due to her initial inability to walk, but it turns out she was born with a spinal defect. While Abby still cannot walk or control her urination, she has an infectious happiness about her. Recently, she received a wheelchair which allows her to enjoy walks outside, and some specialized physical therapy techniques, including treadmill exercises, are helping her in her recovery journey. Despite her challenges, Abby remains a lively and determined little girl, and she gets along well with dogs. She deserves a loving and understanding home that can provide the care she needs.
