About Rambo

Meet Rambo! At 13 years old, don’t let his age fool you; Rambo still has the heart and energy of a much younger dog. He’s a delightful blend of playful companion and cuddle buddy. One minute he’s frolicking in the yard, trying to entice his dog friends to join in play, and the next, he’s cozily curled up next to you. Rambo thrives best in a loving home where he receives ample attention. A securely fenced yard for him to run and explore is essential. He adores chew toys, bones, and enjoys tossing his toys around independently. Once he forms a bond, Rambo becomes a true Velcro dog, following you from room to room and happily cuddling, while also respecting your boundaries. He knows commands like sit and stay and shows eagerness to learn. Puzzle toys and enrichment games are right up his alley to keep him stimulated. Rambo walks nicely on a leash and appreciates gentle guidance from his humans. When meeting new people or animals, Rambo can be a tad cautious, so slow, respectful introductions are key. Give him time to acclimate, and his sweet personality will shine. He would thrive in a quieter home setting without a lot of distractions and commotion and can form deep bonds once he feels secure. Rambo gets along well with cats but hasn't been tested around children; he is likely best suited for a home without younger kids but could do well with older, respectful children aged 15 and up. Rambo has shown a bit of an escape artist nature, so a secure yard and attentiveness around doors is vital. Luckily, he's easy to catch with calm handling. Rambo came into foster care underweight but is now thriving with a structured feeding plan. He loves his treats and is ready to flourish in a forever home. This affectionate companion is looking forward to sharing his love with you. If you believe Rambo is the one for you, please fill out our adoption application to set up a meet and greet.
