Roamer
AvailableRoamer is a large, senior neutered male, who is a mix of Irish Wolfhound and Giant Schnauzer, currently living in Roy, UT. He is vaccinated, house trained, and does well with both dogs and cats. Roamer would do best in an adult-only home and requires ongoing support for arthritis, including pain and joint medications.
About Roamer
Roamer came into rescue after a tough period as a stray. When animal control picked him up, he was underweight and matted, and battled a severe ear infection. Vet staff had to sedate him just to get the mats off, but Roamer endured it all and recovered in the shelter before joining the rescue. Despite his rough start, Roamer opens up once he feels safe and tends to trust women a bit faster than men. He’s done well with other dogs, especially in large group settings, though he stands up for himself if pushed. Roamer’s been evaluated by a professional trainer and got a glowing report for his temperament. Roamer needs an adult-only home—no small children—where people understand boundaries and give him time to relax. He’s house trained, uses a dog door, and knows commands like sit, paw, and smile. Arthritis means he requires pain management and joint support, but he’s still eager for walks and mental stimulation. He’d be happiest retiring to a home with a yard and people who appreciate a dignified, friendly senior. This dog gets along with both dogs and cats and will bring quiet humor and loyalty to the right home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
