About Domino

Domino had a rough start, but you'd never guess it from the steady, warm way he moves through the world these days. He's a senior herding mix, about 8–10 years old, who landed at Herding Haven after a hoarding rescue. At intake, Domino weighed in at 81 pounds—nearly double where he should be. Thanks to patient care, daily walks, and a shift to wholesome homemade meals, he's already dropped close to 20 pounds and has a spring in his step again. There's a bit more weight to lose, but he's bright-eyed and feeling better every week. Having undergone major dental work (he's down 18 teeth), Domino needs soft food for life. Fortunately, he dives happily into bowls of rice, quinoa, veggies, chicken, and turkey. He's fully house-trained, polite inside the house, and gentle with everyone he meets. Domino loves people, is great with other dogs, and gets along fine with cats—just not chickens. He's neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Domino's just looking for a soft place to land and someone to walk beside him as he lives out his best years. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
