About Cora

Cora is a lovely young girl, around 2-3 years old, who was tragically found abandoned, tied to a rock. She came to us matted and dirty, necessitating a complete shave for her comfort and health. Currently weighing in at just 10.4 pounds, Cora’s soft fur will soon grow back, but she'll need regular grooming to look her best. This sweet girl is adjusting to her new life and is a bit anxious after losing her previous owner. Now in a quieter foster home with cats and one calm dog, she’s starting to feel more secure. Cora does well with cats and seems to be mostly deaf; she responds to hand motions and eye contact, so a patient owner who understands her needs would be ideal. Cora particularly loves men and expresses joy when she’s with them, making her a great match for families with a caring male figure. Ideally, she’d thrive in a laid-back home with another calm pet and no children. She enjoys being picked up and is a true companion for the right person. House training is progressing, but she’ll need some time to adjust to the new routine. A fenced yard is essential to keep her safe as she finds her footing in her forever home. Cora isn’t suited for a life spent in a crate; she seeks a best friend, preferably someone who works from home or is retired. Adoption donation is $300. Preference is given to local applicants within a 90-mile range as a home visit is required before finalizing any adoption. Click apply to start the adoption process.
