About Nyx
Nyx is a petite Shih Tzu/Terrier mix, around one year old and just 9–10 pounds. She’s been spayed, microchipped, and her vaccinations are up to date. After her original owner lost housing, Nyx found herself in foster care. She’s lived with other dogs and cats, so she’s used to having animal companions around. When she first arrived, Nyx was understandably wary, but she relaxes quickly with reassurance and routine. She has become a playful, affectionate little dog who loves to be close to her people—she’ll nap on your feet and come running with her bashful, expressive face when you call her name. Her personality seems to shine brightest when things are calm, so she’s best suited for a home without fragile seniors who might trip over her habit of staying close. Nyx is still shy with strangers—she tends to bond tightly with her main person, and men can take longer to win her over. She’s steadily improving with socialization, recently warming up in a training center after just 20 minutes. House training is a work in progress; she’s working on reliable outdoor potty habits but is pretty good about using a pee pad, especially when left in a gated area. Her history hints at a possible grain sensitivity, so she does best with a grain-free salmon-based diet. Nyx is gentle and affectionate, but she’ll need a patient adopter willing to let her settle in at her own pace. If you want a loyal companion who will reward your patience with lots of love, Nyx could be the one. Adoption fee is sponsored. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
