About Yeti
Yeti is an adorable Shih Tzu/Terrier mix with a long body, wiry medium-length black coat, and large, expressive eyes that tend to win people over fast. He’s small—about 5 pounds—but keenly focused on sticking close to his favorite humans. Rescued as part of a last-minute effort to help dogs after their owner’s eviction, Yeti is the tiniest of his litter and stands out for his gentle, affectionate nature. He’s happiest when carried or cuddled, and although he can be quite vocal if he can’t reach you, he’s making terrific progress as he gains confidence. At night, Yeti prefers sleeping close to people, and he’s working on house training with some success when kept on a consistent schedule. He’s playful, enjoys following people from room to room, and does well with other friendly dogs—he’d thrive with a canine companion who can show him the ropes. While he hasn’t met any cats, his personality doesn’t suggest likely issues there. Yeti recently got neutered and is up to date on vaccines, but he’ll need one more puppy shot before he’s ready to visit public dog spaces. He’s thriving on a sensitive-stomach diet that keeps him feeling well. Because he’s still very small, he’ll need supervision around large dogs or young kids. His ideal home is one where people can offer both love and continued socialization. If you’re after a loyal, tiny shadow who’s full of love, Yeti just might be your perfect fit.
