About Found Akita Mix On

This young male Akita/Husky mix was found off Highway 16 near Rumsey, just outside San Francisco, CA, on May 31, 2026. He is white, black, and tan, with one blue eye and one brown eye—a striking combination that makes him hard to miss. At about a year old or less, he is not yet neutered and came with no collar, tags, or microchip. Judging by his clean coat, he hadn’t been outdoors long, but he was hot and thirsty when discovered. He appears unfamiliar with leashes, cars, or indoor environments, and is not house trained. He is safe and currently being cared for while efforts are ongoing to locate his original family. Local shelters across several counties have been notified. The region has unfortunately seen incidents of dogs being abandoned, and while there’s hope he simply got lost, a forever home may be needed if no one claims him. If you have any information about his people or are open to adopting, you’re encouraged to reach out. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
