Kai is a nearly two-year-old Akita mix with a striking seal and white coat and an easygoing, affectionate nature. He’s shown himself to be playful, smart, and quick to connect with people, especially when given steady structure and positive feedback. Kai has done very well living with children and another dog in a previous home, proving he can be a positive addition to a family, particularly if introductions are managed thoughtfully. Though Kai’s naturally eager to please, he sometimes feels unsure around new dogs and is still building confidence in unfamiliar situations. Ongoing, positive reinforcement training is the key—he’s attentive and motivated when shown consistency and a bit of patience. While he isn’t house trained yet, his intelligence and willingness suggest he’ll learn quickly with a committed owner.
