About Nike
Nike is a spayed female Akita and Siberian Husky mix with striking black and white markings and a medium coat. At just under two years old, she’s proven herself to be energetic, friendly, and smart. Nike ended up at the shelter through no fault of her own—her former family could no longer care for her. She’s handled the transition well, bringing her friendly personality and readiness for adventure to every new person she meets. Nike is happiest when out for walks or runs, and she enjoys car rides to new places. She has lived with kids ranging from age 5 to teens and got along well with them. When left alone, Nike does best when crated and is always glad to see her people return. This clever dog already knows several commands, including “sit,” “lay down,” “high five,” “shake,” and more, so she’s ready for a home that will keep her mind engaged. While she enjoys the company of some dogs, she’s selective, so a proper meet-and-greet with any resident dog is needed before adoption. Her adoption fee is sponsored, and she comes with a $200 training voucher to help start her new chapter. Nike is currently in San Francisco, CA, looking for a family ready to give her the active, loving life she deserves. Click apply to start the adoption process.
