About Taiga
Taiga is a loving, obedient, and loyal Australian Kelpie looking for her next chapter. She enjoys walks, naps, and gets a boost of energy playing with other dogs. Taiga found her foster family after wandering the neighborhood, always approaching with gentle curiosity and hope for a meal. Life outside wasn’t easy—she endured multiple pregnancies and weathered the elements before finally settling in a foster’s front yard, where she gave birth to a single puppy. That marked her turning point; she was brought indoors, finally safe. She is social and friendly, happiest with other dogs and people who keep her active and included. A yard is important for Taiga, as she thrives on outdoor activities and space to explore. She should not live with cats or small animals, as she may be prone to view them as prey. If you appreciate calm loyalty and steadiness, Taiga might be the companion you’ve been waiting for. Currently, she is being fostered in La Paz, Mexico, but transportation is covered by Hope 4 La Pawz for placements in the U.S. Full medical and behavioral information will be provided before adoption or foster.
