About Monkey
Monkey is a quirky, happy young dog with a lot of personality and a playfulness that sneaks up on you. He likes basking in the sun and relaxing, but when the mood strikes, he’ll tear around the yard getting the zoomies before settling back in for a couch snuggle. Monkey is affectionate, loyal, and loves playing with other dogs. He’s kennel trained and enjoys both walks and downtime with his people. Monkey had a rough start and was hit by a car in May 2025, suffering a fractured femur that was surgically repaired. After his accident, his previous owner didn’t take him back, but that twist of fate has given him a chance to find a home that truly wants him. He’s thriving now, ready for a fresh start with someone who values his charm. Monkey does especially well in homes with another dog and with an adopter who enjoys a mix of outdoors time and cuddling up inside. He’s currently being fostered in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported to Anacortes, WA once adopted. Monkey is a born Virgo—so expect a sensible side beneath the silliness. Ready to fall in love?
