About Chica
Chica needs a forever home! This sweet, approximately 6-year-old Shepherd mix is vibrant and thriving in her foster care. Weighing around 50-55 lbs, Chica has discovered the joy of home life, with a yard and a caring person by her side. Now, her dream is to find a family that will provide the love and comfort she deserves. Chica is an incredibly smart and affectionate girl. She's happiest when sheโs close to her favorite human, soaking up cuddles. This playful pup absolutely adores her ball and enjoys interactive toys and activities that keep her mind engaged. She needs an active person who can provide plenty of exercise and outdoor adventures. Walks, playtime in a securely fenced yard, and exploration will bring her joy. While sheโs learning to manage her excitement, guidance and positive reinforcement will help her continue to thrive. Currently, Chica is still working on her house training and does well when someone is home, but may have accidents when left alone. A patient adopter who understands sheโs a work in progress will be ideal for her. Chica can be a bit reactive towards other dogs, particularly when approached closely, so thoughtful handling and experience with leash reactivity are essential. Ideally, she should be the only dog in her new home where she can focus on bonding with her person. This good girl is growing more confident every day and needs someone to offer her a loving, permanent family. Are you the one Chica has been waiting for? Sheโs spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
