Chip
AvailableChip is a hound/mixed breed adult male, large in size, and currently located in Merriam, KS. He has been neutered and is hoping to find a loving family to give him the encouragement and companionship he craves.
About Chip
Chip has a gentle soul and takes his time in new situations. While he might hang back at first, patience and a soft word are all it takes for his personality to shine. Once he feels secure, he turns into a loyal companion who loves to lean in for cuddles and find your side on the couch. He’s always up for being near his favorite people and will happily follow you around, always wanting to be part of the day. Chip is a big guy and doesn’t always realize his size, especially when playtime arrives. He’s happiest with other dogs and would really enjoy living with another playful canine, though meeting them first is a good idea to make sure it’s a good match. For families with children, those five and older are the best fit—Chip’s enthusiasm can get the best of him, and he doesn’t want to accidentally knock over a little one. His favorite things are simple: a steady friend, an understanding touch, and a treat now and then to let him know he’s loved. What he really needs is someone who’ll look past his shyness and see the affectionate, goofy friend waiting underneath. They’ll find a loving, snuggly addition to their household. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
