AvailableAbout Sully
Sully ACCT-A-247472 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Sully must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER, or ADOPTER by Sunday, May 10th, 2026 at 10AM. Should Sully's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Sully is a young, playful, and affectionate boy who is guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Found as a stray, he quickly showed just how friendly and people-loving he is-greeting everyone with soft eyes, a wagging tail, and a wiggly, happy body. Once he's near you, Sully is all about connection, leaning his whole body into you for pets and happily soaking up every bit of affection. He's the kind of dog who just melts into his people and loves being close. Sully has a fun, energetic side and loves to zoom around the yard, chase, and play. He may not quite understand fetch yet, but he's more than happy to run after toys and enjoy the game his own way. He knows "sit," takes treats nicely, and is generally easy to handle and leash, making him a great companion for both playtime and everyday outings. He also rides well in the car and has done great on day trips, where he's been described as an absolute delight who just wants to spend quality time with his person. While Sully can sometimes get a little overexcited-especially around other dogs where he may become a bit humpy-he is otherwise social, loose, and wiggly in his interactions. He has shown that he can calm down and would benefit from continued guidance and structure to help him channel his enthusiasm appropriately. With people, he is consistently gentle, cuddly, and eager for attention. Sully is the perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate companionship. Whether he's zooming around the yard or leaning into you for belly rubs, he is happiest just being part of the moment with his people. If you're looking for a fun, loving, and endlessly sweet dog to brighten your days, Sully might just be your perfect match. Having him was so delightful. He enjoyed car rides and loves affection. He loves treats and spending quality time with people. I believe Sully enjoyed his day out, and I hate he had to go. I got a couple of questions about adoption, so I'm hoping someone will soon!" Per staff 4/18/26: Sully ACCT-A-247472 is a playful, affectionate young guy who came to ACCT Philly as a stray on April 12th. He is social and enthusiastic from the moment you meet him. He greets people with soft eyes and a wagging tail, and once he's comfortable, he leans his whole body into you and practically melts. Staff have noted he allows all handling, including leash readjustment, with ease - and pulls minimally on leash too. In playgroup, he showed loose, wiggly energy and play bows with another dog. After zooming around the yard, he got humpy with another dog and didn't take their corrections. Silly is looking for a rescue, foster, or adopter that can match his playful spirit and provide him with all the belly rubs and affection he craves. If you're looking for a wiggly, happy, and super-cuddly companion to brighten up your life, Sully is the one for you! Per staff 4/16/26: Kennel Presentation: At the front of the kennel with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail wagging. Leash Skills: Only a little difficult to leash because he was pawing. Allowed me to readjust my leash. Minimally pulls on the leash. Sociability: I crouched down and he came right over to me leaning his entire body into mine. He allowed all handling with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail loosely wagging. When I was petting his eyes began to close and his body was leaning harder into my legs. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met Marigold. This guy can leap into the air, play bows super loose and wiggly. Return to Kennel: Walked right into kennel and removed leash with hand. Color Level: Gold Playgroup 4/13/26: Steer test: 3/5 with water. Ears to the side with soft/wide eyes and nose to the ground when entered the yard. Quick moves, zooming around the yard. Became overly humpy and was not taking corrections. Per finder 4/12/26: Found as a stray and stayed with his finder for 4 days before being brought to the shelter. They said he was friendly to all, antsy on walks, and cuddly, playful, and always hungry - Due to being significantly overcapacity with dogs and cats and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted.
