About Violia

Icee (ACCT-A-245976) came to ACCT Philly after a kind individual found her tied up and severely underweight, stepping in to care for her for about a month. Despite their efforts, they were unable to keep her due to personal health issues and made the difficult decision to bring her to the shelter so she could find a safe, permanent home. Icee is described as a true "velcro dog" with a sweet, loyal personality who thrives on human connection. She already has a strong foundation in the home-she's crate trained, fully housebroken, and knows several commands including sit, stay, lay down, paw, and drop it. She's smart, treat-motivated, and eager to engage, often checking in with her handler and taking treats gently. In the shelter, Icee presents as loose and wiggly, greeting people at the front of her kennel with a friendly demeanor. She enjoys interaction but may still be building confidence, as she has shown some mild flinching with sudden movements like overhead petting or tossed treats. Icee has a playful side with other dogs, offering play bows and friendly gestures, and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to build her confidence and leash manners. With her affectionate nature and eagerness to learn, Icee has all the makings of a deeply devoted companion. Videos Met Ali: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVdweHH1eRE Behavioral Notes Per volunteer 4/12, "I had icee out tonight. She is the best. She was eager to get out of her kennel is the most happy -tail wagging way. She pulls a little on the leash, but only because she was so excited to get out to the yard! She just had the best time with the tennis balls and getting belly rubs. She is not dog reactive at all! " Per volunteer 4/9: I took ICEE out for the second time this week. She is such a sweet girl. Pulls a little on the leash but just because she is so excited to play in the yard. She was dog friendly, loved playing with the toys and loved being pet. per day trip 3/28: She was absolutely amazing! We went to 2 parks and did great around kids. She's very friendly and seemed unfazed when walking by other people/animals on our walk. She does pull quite a bit but once she got her zoomies out she eventually stopped pulling as much. Overall, she was just perfect! I've also attached some pictures that I took with her Volunteer 3/27/26: I absolutely fell in love with this girl and once you meet her, you will too. Not only is Icee ridiculously adorable, she has the perfect personality. She's the cutest mix of silly and snuggly. One minute she's getting the zoomies with her favorite stuffy (seriously... so stinking cute ), and the next she's melting right into your lap, asking for all the belly rubs. She's also such a smart girl! Icee already knows "sit" and "paw," and she takes treats so gently, like the little lady she is The shelter can be a loud and overwhelming place, and she did get a bit nervous walking through it. But with some soft encouragement and staying close by her side, she pushed through and showed just how brave she is. You can tell she really wants to trust and feel safe. I'm not even kidding when I say I was this close to bringing her home myself... that's how special she is Icee is the total package playful, loving, smart, and just waiting for someone to give her the forever home she deserves. Please consider coming to meet this perfect girl... I promise you'll fall just as hard as I did. 03/26/2026 per staff behavioral eval: Kennel Presentation: at the front, loose and wiggly, paws on the gate.
