Life as an indoor dog is new for her, but she’s adjusting quickly and responds well to a consistent routine.

Rambi has had a rough start, but she’s ready at last for a real forever home. She’s a 3-year-old Schnauzer/Border Collie mix who bounced back after being abandoned and then losing her home again due to her owner’s housing troubles. Despite everything, Rambi stays affectionate and joyful, happiest when she’s around people or playing with her favorite toys. She’s finished her heartworm treatment and has a clean bill of health, now just keeping up with monthly preventatives. She’s spayed and vaccinated, and is settling into indoor life after being kept outside for much of her early years. House training is coming along steadily; she takes well to a regular routine and is starting to get the hang of walks on a leash. Crate training is in progress, and Rambi is already good at chilling in her crate during busy moments. With other dogs, she prefers calm companions who match her gentle approach to socializing. Her ideal family is active and committed, ready to provide the exercise and secure yard Rambi needs, plus plenty of time indoors with her people. She loves kids and does best as an indoor companion with lots of structure and snuggles.
