Cali’s journey hasn’t been easy. She started life on her own in the countryside, spent years moving between foster homes, and even lost her latest foster spot when her caregiver was displaced in a hurricane. Through it all, Cali has stayed affectionate and playful. She’s strong, energetic, and very treat motivated—sometimes a bit too much, so she still grabs snacks with gusto. A home with a solid privacy fence and a decent yard is key, since she needs space to burn off her excitement. Cali needs to live with adults or older kids (12+), as she gets overstimulated with young children and tends to muscle through her enthusiasm. She can be protective of her food and treats, so it’s best she’s the only pet and fed separately. Cali prefers to be the dominant dog and will likely do better in a home where she can run the show.
