About Mocha

Mocha’s story took a heartbreaking turn—she came back to Hands to Paws Rescue in June 2025, abandoned and thin, left tied to a post with another dog. She’d been adopted as a puppy but, years later, landed in tough circumstances. Thankfully, authorities are pursuing her previous owners for neglect and abandonment. Now in foster care with Hands to Paws Rescue in Augusta, GA, Mocha is bouncing back and showing her resilience. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and starting to thrive all over again. Mocha loves playtime and energetic runs, but don’t let her zest fool you—she’s just as fond of settling in for a good cuddle. The team is hoping to find her a committed foster or, even better, a permanent home where she will always be cherished. Mocha’s birthday is February 16, making her an Aquarius—fitting for a dog with so much spirit. Ready to meet her new humans, Mocha’s next chapter is waiting to begin. What are you waiting for?
