About Tater

Tater – ID #18900 – Kennel #24 – Arrived May 10th (Stray) – Labrador Retriever Mix – Tan – Male – 3 Years Old – 99 lbs – Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption – Up to Date on Vaccines – Heartworm Negative Meet Tater, a three-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on May 10th. He is a stunning golden tan boy with a broad, handsome face, soft eyes, and a smile so big and genuine it fills the whole room. At 99 pounds, Tater is a big, beautiful dog with an equally big personality β€” and he is every bit as sweet as he looks. Tater is a dog who has clearly been taught well and paid close attention. He sits, stays, lies down, and shakes β€” all on command. Someone in his life clearly spent real time and love teaching him, and he learned it all beautifully. That same person did not come back for him, and that is their loss. Tater carried everything they taught him right through those shelter doors, and he is ready to use every bit of it for the family who will truly appreciate him. Tater is a strong boy on the leash β€” as many big, enthusiastic Labs are β€” and would benefit from an adopter who can match his energy and continue building on the excellent foundation he already has. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, leash manners will come easily with the right guidance. He is the kind of dog who genuinely wants to get it right. Tater is heartworm negative, up to date on his vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption. He is stunning, he is sweet, he has a great personality, and he already knows how to be a wonderful dog. All he needs now is a family who will look at that great big smile and know β€” without question β€” that he is exactly who they have been looking for.
