About Andie

Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Andie, also affectionately known as Pepper. Though she answers to Pepper, please refer to her as Andie in all records and inquiries. Andie is a young, fun-loving, and active girl who is about a year old and weighs around 46 pounds. Previously adopted as a puppy, she’s now back and searching for a family who can provide her the time, training, and exercise she thrives on. Her last family cared deeply for her but couldn’t meet her needs due to time constraints and allergies in the home. She’s now looking forward to a fresh start with a well-matched forever family. Andie is a sweet, playful, and friendly girl with a soft coat and an eager mind. Her interactions with other dogs have shown she isn’t aggressive and, with a proper introduction, she can get along with some canine companions. However, it’s best she doesn’t live with cats, as she has shown a tendency to chase. She enjoys children, but a home without toddlers would be ideal since her exuberance could knock little ones over. Andie loves to be close to people, often lying at their feet or waiting patiently nearby, making her a wonderful companion for someone who works from or stays at home. She is calm during baths but may need a slow introduction to tall male strangers to feel comfortable. Currently attending Mostly Mutts University, Andie is mastering basic commands like 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', and 'leave it', and she’s working on refining her leash manners. She does well in a crate both during the day and overnight, and her potty manners are strong though she may occasionally have accidents if left alone for extended periods. She delights in walks, belly rubs, racing around a fenced yard, squeaky toys, car rides, and even strawberries. Mealtime is a highlight, though a slow feeder bowl may help her pace herself. Andie’s ideal home is one filled with companionship, adventure, and lots of love—where she won’t be alone too often or left without guidance and stimulation. She is spayed, microchipped, current on immunizations, and receiving medicated baths to help with dry skin, which is easily manageable. Andie can’t wait to leap into her next chapter with an active, loving family who will cherish her playful heart and affectionate nature. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
