About Murphy

Murphy is an active, happy pup about 4-5 months old and already around 31 lbs with plenty of growing left. Since being rescued by Mostly Mutts, he's been learning a lot—he’s currently in a prison/foster training program and has quickly picked up commands like sit, stay, come, drop it, and place. Murphy’s smart, energetic, affectionate, and playful. He loves running in the play yard, chasing toys, and cuddling after burning off his energy. He gets along well with other friendly dogs and would enjoy a playmate, but hasn’t spent time with cats or young kids yet; he'd do best in a home without toddlers as he’s a sturdy pup who could accidentally knock them over. Murphy is neutered and up to date on his vaccines (new family will need to finish his puppy shots). He’s crate trained and working on house training, though he still has an occasional accident—he’ll need consistency and patience. Murphy doesn’t like his collar grabbed suddenly and once snapped when this happened, so his family should teach collar manners gently. A yard to play in would make him happy and help him burn energy, but most of all, Murphy needs an active family ready to invest in his training and give him attention, love, and lots of fun.
