About Jacquelyn

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet the fabulous Jacquelyn! She’s a delightful 2-year-old girl weighing in at around 58 lbs, living life large and lovely. Jacquelyn came from animal control and now enjoys life in a loving foster home, where she eagerly awaits her forever family. If you’re seeking a joyful soul to add warmth and wiggles to your life, Jacquelyn may just be your perfect match! Radiating positivity, Jacquelyn is a true ‘Velcro dog’—always eager to snuggle up and receive affection. She adores being the center of attention, responding enthusiastically to commands like ‘no,’ ‘sit,’ or ‘back.’ Her sweet, responsive nature will capture your heart each day. Jacquelyn does have a congenital kidney defect, but it’s completely manageable with proper care and diet, and she’s ready to fill your life with love despite having a shorter lifespan. House trained and reliable for potty breaks during the day, she’d thrive in a home with someone present most of the time, like those who work from home. Social and playful, Jacquelyn gets along well with the three resident dogs in her foster home. She’s energetic and cheerful, always up for playtime and fun. While she shows a bit too much curiosity around cats, a cat-free home will be ideal. Since she hasn’t lived with children, an adult home may be preferable, especially as her enthusiasm could be overwhelming for smaller kids. Jacquelyn’s energy level is moderate—she loves playtime, fetching balls, and tug-of-war, and she’s also attentive and eager to please. She knows several basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a fast learner (with carrots as her favorite treat!). Her playful antics and love of frozen treats will keep you smiling, though she’s not a fan of vacuums or mops! Jacquelyn is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. While she follows a special diet and needs regular check-ups, her lively spirit and affectionate heart make her a truly special companion. She’s waiting in Kennesaw, GA for a family to start their next adventure together. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
