About Sugar
Sugar came to rescue after being removed from a rough breeding situation in Delta, CO last summer. Sheās a small, white Miniature Schnauzer who had little contact with people early on and, as a result, sheās still learning how to feel safe around humans. In her foster home, Sugar is making slow but steady progress. Sheās picked up outdoor potty habits from the other dogs and does fine with canine companions, but humans still make her nervousāsheāll express that fear if you come on too strong. Sugar benefits from observing a confident, well-adjusted dog and really needs that kind of steady company in her new home. She isnāt house trained yet and would be best placed with someone who has previous experience helping former breeding dogs, especially those coming out of tough conditions. Sugar is spayed, current on vaccines, vet-checked, heartworm negative, and microchipped. For Sugar, patience and a gentle, experienced touch will give her the best shot at a normal, happy life. Your ability to provide a calm house with a solid routine matters here. Click apply to start the adoption process.
