Leena
AvailableLeena is a small, senior female Miniature Schnauzer currently in Littleton, CO. She has a medium-length coat and is house trained. Leena is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, and although she has some health considerations typical for her age, including a kidney-friendly diet and cataracts, she remains affectionate and gentle.
About Leena
Leena lost her longtime home when her owner passed away, and none of the family members were able to take her in. At 14, Leena found herself at a shelter, overwhelmed and out of place after years as a cherished lap dog in a quiet home. She adjusted quickly in foster care, where she’s shown a real love for people and lots of lap time. She’s happiest with someone home much of the day—ideally retired or working remotely—who will let her shadow them and soak up gentle attention. Leena appreciates a peaceful environment but likes a bit of outdoor time in a secure yard or porch as well. She gets along well with other small dogs in her foster home. Her health is stable, though she eats a kidney-support diet and has early cataracts and just a few teeth, thanks to a recent dental. She’s still spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, house trained, and comfortable moving around the house. Leena is looking for a loving hospice foster or adopter to give her comfort and care in her golden years. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
