Hans & Helga
AvailableHans and Helga are a pair of Miniature Schnauzers from Littleton, CO. Hans is a neutered adult female, while Helga is also spayed and just over a year old. Both are small-sized dogs with short fur, currently needing some time to adjust and grow back their coat. They're not house trained yet and will require help with potty training during their adjustment period. They are up to date on vaccinations and ready for adoption.
About Hans & Helga
Hans and Helga were discovered as strays in rural Kansas. Hans, a 6-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, weighs approximately 12 pounds, while Helga, only 1 year old, weighs about 16 pounds. These two are sweet but timid, yearning for human affection. After being out on their own for some time, they've lost a bit of weight, and the shelter removed their matted fur, leaving them feeling much more comfortable, though currently bald. Given time, their coats will grow back beautifully. They would thrive in an adult home, ideally with someone who is retired or works from home, allowing them the attention and socialization they crave. They enjoy the outdoors, so a fenced area for play would be perfect. Their new adopter should be patient, helping them overcome their fears and reminding them about potty training since they are not yet house trained. While Helga may have only known life as a stray, itβs possible that Hans has experienced a different life previously. Both Hans and Helga are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped.
