Asher is a burst of fun in a compact, ginger-brindle body—a 3-year-old, medium-sized mix of Boxer and Corgi who’s never short on energy or personality. Rescued from animal control, he’s shown his rescuers just how lively and goofy a dog can be. Time in a foster home and a structured training program have shaped him into a great companion: he knows key commands like 'sit', 'stay', and 'leave it', has polished leash manners, and is both crate and house trained. Asher loves a fenced yard for his endless game of fetch but is just as happy to entertain himself with his squeaky toys when you’re busy. He’s best suited as the only dog in the home—he can get possessive of toys and beds and shouldn’t live with cats. Kids 15 and up are ideal since he’s strong and can get a bit too excited for small kids. Asher thrives around dog-savvy people ready for daily activity and would love a steady schedule of walks and playtime. He can be barky and occasionally reactive, especially in busy environments or around unknown dogs, but takes to training with gusto and benefits from free lifetime training through his rescue. Bath time? No problem—he’s a champ.
