Meet Poppy—your little burst of sunshine covered in puppy fur. At around 12 weeks old, this tiny Chihuahua lives up to her name in every way: bright, cheerful, and impossible not to smile at. Her white coat is sprinkled with soft tan spots like petals in the sun, and her oversized, perky ears give her a constant look of curiosity and wonder. Add in that adorable underbite and her signature white streak across her face, and you’ve got one seriously charming summer sidekick. Like a warm spring morning, Poppy takes a little time to fully bloom. She can be shy around bigger dogs (understandably, given her petite size), but she’s happily budding into friendship with smaller pups and enjoys playful moments once she feels safe. On walks, she may announce her presence with a surprisingly mighty bark—but don’t be fooled, she truly enjoys meeting new people and warms up with a little patience. She hasn’t met cats or kids yet, so gentle introductions will help her continue to blossom. Poppy’s favorite season is “wherever you are.” She loves being close—whether tucked into a cozy puppy pouch as you go about your day or curled up nearby soaking in your company. She’ll thrive in a home where someone is around often to keep her safe from her own underfoot enthusiasm. At night, she drifts off peacefully in her crate to calming spa music (a girl with refined taste!), and she’s already doing wonderfully on leash while making great progress with potty training. If you’re looking for a sweet, sunny companion to brighten your days, Poppy is ready to grow right into your heart. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs.
