About Cinnamon
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Cinnamon, born on February 8, 2025, making her a fun and energetic Aquarius! Cinnamon is one of six delightful puppies born to Helena, a Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a challenging situation late last year. With her soft short coat in shades of white, cream, and golden, Cinnamon is as charming as she is adorable, and expected to remain a small dog—likely no more than 20 pounds full-grown—though adopters should be open to her possibly growing a bit larger. This playful girl has visited the vet multiple times, has been dewormed, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. While she is already house trained, her spay and microchipping are included once she’s old enough, and must be done through the rescue’s partner vet. Cinnamon and her siblings will be ready to join their forever homes in early June. BAARK Dog Rescue is located in Barrington, IL, and adopts locally within the area. Questions about Cinnamon
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Small terrier and Chihuahua mixes typically do well in homes of all sizes, including apartments and houses, as long as they receive daily attention and exercise. They enjoy cozy spaces and being close to their families.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
These small breeds do not require a large yard but appreciate regular outdoor play and short walks. A safe, fenced area for playtime is ideal but not necessary if they get daily walks and stimulation.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Terriers and Chihuahuas can be great with children, especially when socialized from a young age. Supervision is advised with very small dogs and young children to ensure gentle interactions.
