About Rachel Valdez

Rachel Valdez was one of 13 cats abandoned outside a church in Whittier and has bounced back with resilience and curiosity. Although she’s experienced more than her share of upheaval, now she’s a pampered, affectionate young cat enjoying a comfortable foster environment in Hemet, CA. She’s at that sweet spot—not a kitten’s blur of chaos, but still playful, and she’s known for her adorable butt-drop greeting dance. Rachel truly enjoys being picked up and petted and will melt your heart with her big, hopeful eyes. She’s a social cat and gets along well with other cats, always ready for a solo play session with her favorite toys. Rachel may be a bit sassy, as her personality emerges, but that adds to her charm. She loves her canned food and isn’t shy about telling you when it’s mealtime. There are a few minor scratches on her cornea, but they don’t faze her in the least—her eyesight is just fine, and there’s no extra care needed. She hasn’t met young children or lived with dogs, though she seems curious around them, so gradual introductions could work. Rachel is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Out-of-state adoptions are possible if you can meet her in person—no shipping. Rachel is ready for a home where she’s part of the family. Let her be the reason you come home smiling every day. Start your journey together! Apply now.
