About Rubee
Rubee, a 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, has been through quite a journey recently with surgery for a serious gallbladder issue, but now she’s recovering and back to being her strong-willed, sassy self. She had a tough road post-surgery but has pulled through with help from her attentive foster family, and is regaining her appetite, energy, and, true to form, her demanding personality. Rubee spent most of her life with one person and now finds herself in need of a new, loving home where she can be the center of attention. She thrives as the queen of the household—being the only dog is her ideal, but she can coexist with a male dog if needed. Cats don’t bother her, but she’s not shy about stirring up trouble with other female dogs. Rubee is a tiny, 5-pound ball of fluffy charm whose favorite activities involve cuddling on the couch or curling up beside you at night. She’s mastered doggy stairs, enjoys daily walks, and prefers quiet surroundings. She is not house trained and prefers soft foods, given her age and dental situation. Rubee’s anxiety makes her ill-suited to being left alone for long periods, so a stable, retired parent or a calm, reliable household is her best match. Small children are not for her; she likes predictability and peace. She bonds equally with women and men but will always make you feel like her favorite person.
