About Jelly Bean
Jelly Bean is an 8-month-old, neutered male English Pointer who tips the scale around 55 pounds and calls North Carolina home for now. Affectionate, playful, and easygoing, he's happiest bouncing around with his toys, soaking up attention, and hanging out with both people and other dogs. He has a truly joyful nature and an enthusiasm that lights up any room. JB is crate-trained, and while he's almost fully house trained, he might have the odd accident while he settles into a new routine. He's used to the company of other dogs and likes to nap with them, and he's comfortable around cats though he isn't particularly interested in them. He's not been around children yet, so slow introductions are best—especially since he sometimes gets excited and gently mouths at hands when seeking affection. Ongoing supervision and redirection work well for him. Like a typical Pointer, Jelly Bean has a high prey drive and benefits from a fenced yard or committed leash handling. His energy is medium: ready for a game or adventure, but happy to wind down with you. He's mostly mastered the "drop it" command, but you'll want to keep an eye on your counters and personal items—JB is still learning the rules of a human home. His leash skills continue to improve with practice, though distractions can get the best of him. Other good news: He's a solid eater, isn't noise-sensitive, and has no known special needs. Jelly Bean will thrive in a home ready for an affectionate, social pup with an appetite for fun, a bit of mischief, and lots of love to give. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
