About Mac

Mac is a 4-year-old English Pointer whose energy level defies his age—he has all the silly enthusiasm of a much younger dog. After growing up at a Georgia hunting plantation, Mac is now thriving in a foster home in Missouri where he's learning the ins and outs of being a beloved family companion. He's house trained for the most part, but still needs a little guidance with consistently peeing outside. Mac is happiest when surrounded by people—he loves attention from adults and kids alike, and would fit well in an active household with multiple humans. Mac gets along with other dogs his size or larger, but smaller dogs and cats probably aren't a good match given his prey drive. He enjoys daily walks, romping in a securely fenced yard, and curling up for neck scratches (his favorite thing). Mac sleeps and relaxes in his kennel, which helps him settle down. He’s very curious and still learning about household behavior, so he does best when kenneled if left alone. Obedience classes will help Mac channel his zest for life into good manners, and he’s eager to learn with the right guidance. He’s up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and in great health. Mac is ready for an adopter who will give him structure, play, and lots of affection. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
