About Daisy
Daisy is a liver and white English Pointer with striking ticking throughout her short coat and dilute markings on her ears. At about four years old, she was found as a stray in Georgia and now enjoys her Ohio foster home. She started out nervous about household sounds—unexpected noises and things like brooms or shovels still make her jump, hinting at a rough past. But Daisy is affectionate and forms strong bonds, almost like a Velcro dog who always wants to stay by her person. She’s picked up on the comforts of domestic life and loves her spot on the couch or sleeping in bed. Meal routines excite her, and she’s eager to eat in her crate, calmly spending time there when her foster mom is out and keeps settled by the company of other dogs. Daisy is house trained, following cues from the resident dogs, and lets her foster mom know when she needs to go outside. Walks were once overwhelming but have become a highlight—she loves sniffing and searching for squirrels, though loud city traffic can still fray her nerves. In a new place, Daisy may start out timid, and she’ll need patience to acclimate. She’s comfortable with calm company in the yard and honors fences, never being a problem outside. Having another friendly, confident dog around would help her feel secure and show her the ropes. She hasn’t been tested with children or cats, so adopters with either should proceed thoughtfully.
