AvailableAbout Forest In Va
Meet Forest—your future fluffy guardian and gentle giant. If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog who looks like a majestic cloud and loves like a loyal best friend, Forest might just be your guy. Forest is a handsome Great Pyrenees puppy who didn’t get the best start in life, arriving in rescue with his five siblings after growing up on a farm with very little human attention. Thanks to foster care (and lots of love), this gentle boy has blossomed into a calm, sweet, and affectionate pup who loves to play and tumble and snuggle in your lap. Forest is the kind of puppy that makes you smile just by being near him. He eats and sleeps happily in his crate, is nearly house‑trained, has a calm demeanor and a sweet, loving personality. Forest is an easygoing companion who enjoys being part of the family without constant chaos. He is especially fond of the neighbor kids who come socialize with him—he dreams of a child of his own! Forest will thrive in a home that understands big puppies grow into very big dogs; has a 5-foot securely fenced yard where he can safely roam and relax with another large-breed dog for companionship and confidence; and a family who values gentle affection over high-energy antics. Forest is a gentle soul in a fluffy package—a loyal companion who will grow into a devoted family guardian. If you have the space, the patience, and the love for a magnificent Great Pyrenees, Forest is ready for your application! NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. View the full listing (with location, fee and application link) at HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTABLE-DOGS Completion of an application is required to be considered for any dog. Please fill out the application on our website and we will contact you. HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTION-APPLICATION/ Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
